Unlike other games, it is not about competitive gameplay, and it doesn't even have goals or story!
So what's the meaning of this? A game that doesn't have goals? So what happen's next? You decide it.
The creator, Garry Newman, create this game as a sandbox game. This game let's us decide what we are going to do. You can go building stuffs up:

It's a fun game. There is no limit. You can port models from other games to this game!
So if you are asking what I do during weekends, I probably play this game.
Wow! I don't usually play games like you do, but I think the game in your post is fun. Thank you for recommending this game. It is great to know other games which can increase our creativity. I like educational games which help me to learn more. Educational games are good for learning. Besides this game, what kind of games do you like to play?
ReplyDeleteOther games? I probably play DoTA 2 like the other guys, but I'm not very often to play the game itself. I also play games like Minecraft and Don't Starve. Those games teach us about survival (even Don't Starve doesn't give us the tutorial to survive!) which is like..... "simulating" game? :D

Hi Abi! I played Garry's Mod for around one year but still I didn't know that the game really has a great potential of making a nice scene. Any mods or stuff I can add to my GMod that you would recommend? Thanks :)

Delete(found at workshop) so you can personalize your player model (so you're unique and others could identify you). For posing, I think Lens Flare or such will help you pose in outdoor scene. Headhacks model (such as crysis soldier with citizen head) are pretty much a good for posing.
Such a great post, before i read this post, i think that garry's mod is just a boring game, but after you post this i realize this game is a very fun game, I'm interested in making the scenes
ReplyDeleteMy, thank you for the opinion! And yeah, making scenes and posing are pretty fun! Since it's a FPS game, its still have the FPS elements (like... deathmatch?) so it's like a multi-purpose game.

ReplyDeleteI actually got this game thanks to my older brother (Australia, mate!). The cost is $10, yes. But as you know, Steam sales (like the Summer sale) will make a very big discounts like +70%. My big bro buy this only about $2.5, which is quite cheap to buy (but it's big when you round it to Rupiah, around +25.000). There is a "how to" in the internet, like this:
